Sound Mill is a sound effects player and organizer created for sound designers and 3D Effects .
Sound Mill is a sound effects player and organizer created for sound designers and soundboard operators for amateur theater, radio talk shows or other audio productions where sound effects are desired.
Sound Mill uses Microsoft DirectX utilities (a free download from Microsoft). DirectX will use advanced functions of your sound card (when available) or simulate hardware effects in software.
Check you local library for sound effects CDs or Google “sound effects” on the Web to download sound files. Many are free and have public domain copyrights.
Here are some key features of “Sound Mill”:
· WAV file format - Play any WAV file. Size is only limited by the memory on your computer. DirectX only supports WAV format but many free programs allow for conversion of virtually any format into WAV.
· Organize sound lists - You organize a group of sounds into a list. For example, each act of a play may have its own list of sounds. Or there
may be one list for the entire play. You decide how you want the production organized.
· Drag and drop - Use Windows Explorer or other file manger to drag and drop WAV files into your sound list.
· Manual play mode - Play, stop, pause/resume, adjust volume, pan left/right.
· Auto Pan - Pan left or right at a set speed. Loop back in the other direction automatically.
· Auto Volume - Fade or gain volume at a set speed. Loop back in the other direction automatically.
· Sequence play mode - Play multiple sounds in sequence automatically. And setup a loop of multiple sounds to play repeatedly.
· Loop play - Play one sound in a continuous loop until you stop it or specify the number of times to repeat it.
· Delay - Set a time to delay after playing a sound (useful with sequence mode or loop play).
· Copy and Paste Editing - You can copy a sound with all of its configurations and paste as a new sound. This is useful to copy Fx or 3D setups you have previously edited. Move sounds up or down in sequence with one click.
· View/print reports - View a report (a.k.a. sound plot) showing the list of sounds and configurations applied to each sound. You can save as a file and print the report. Six types of reports are available with varying types of information and detail.
· List tools - Sort your list by sound name. Auto number the list.
· Repair - It is common to move sound files to new folders. The repair feature can reset file paths for the list when files get moved.

Limitations:
· Sound Mill will time-out after 20 minutes of use. Just restart the program to continue your trial.
· You cannot save your work to file or open work files.
· And program options or preferences you set are not saved.
· You can only create 6 sound items. There is no limit to this number after activation.
What’s New in This Release:
· Activation - Fixed issue with activation process on some systems. Previous releases will no longer activate — You will get this error message "Program Id invalid.". You must upgrade if you need to reactivate.
· Saved files - Soundlist files saved with an earlier release may not load correctly with this new release due to fix changes in the file structure. Contact Support for file conversion options…. [ ]
